Dangerous Goods – Definition
These are substances classified by the United Nations (UN) as dangerous and any goods specified as such under IATA (International Air Transport Association), IMDG (International Maritime Dangerous Goods) and ADR (Accord Dangereux Routier) regulations.
Important Facts & Information
Transportation of Dangerous Goods is a risk when they are not correctly packed or handled. If the goods are hidden, declared incorrectly, left completely undeclared, packed or labeled incorrectly, health and safety is compromised.
Packaging
Dangerous Goods shipments must be prepared in accordance with the relevant Dangerous Goods Legislation. These goods must be correctly packed, marked and labeled. Due to regulations and compliance with shipping in ‘Limited Quantities’, some products may be required to be packaged separately or segregated from other dangerous goods.
Training
TSL has completed training in the “Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road & Sea”. Our aim is to ensure that the TSL complies with the relevant requirements and regulations for the safe transportation of Dangerous Goods.
