Creating a Safer Learning Environment for D&T
Risk Assessment & COSHH
When: 2nd & 3rd March 2020.
Please note that although day one is available as a single training day, attendance of both days is required to receive the CORE Unit of the D&TA Health and Safety Accreditation.
Who should attend?
This training is perfect for Science Leaders, Teachers and Technicians and anyone within your school who:
• Needs to perform careful assessments of what could cause harm to staff and students in the science environment.
• Is required to make decisions about what is reasonably practicable to reduce or prevent harm.
• Handles hazardous substances and needs guidance on compliance on Health & Safety.
What's in it for you?
Training covers essential guidelines in Risk Assessment and COSHH in education. The course content will get you and your team up to speed with all the necessary compliance in relation to Health & Safety and Risk Assessment in school and will ensure full control in relation to managing hazardous substances.
Day two is specific to Design & Technology, and focuses on the CORE unit of the D&TA Health and Safety Accreditation including, legal health & safety regulations, review and understanding of BS4163, BB81, HSWA, PUWER, HSE plus training on Teaching Strategies*, Environmental Issues*, LEV*, Maintenance*, PAT Testing* and recording and organisation for Health and Safety in D&T. When combined with Day 1 it provides delegates with the internationally recognised D&TA accreditation.
*Please bring paper-based examples with you to the training in order to help complete a folder of evidence on the day.

WHAT'S THE CANCELLATION REFUND POLICY?
Cancellations must be received via email in advance of the event. A full refund is available up to 7 days prior to the event, after that, no refunds will be available.
WHAT PAYMENT METHODS ARE AVAILABLE
You can pay via credit or debit card or select invoice to pay offline. If offline option is selected our customer services team will send you an invoice which will require full payment within 7 days. Payments not made in full will mean no entry to the event.
