There are three lesson packs, the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced, totalling over 160 ready to use classroom resources.
The lessons in the ‘Beginners pack’ are based around TinkerCAD which is free to use and the Intermediate and Advanced are based around Autodesk Fusion 360 which is also free for education. By the end of all of the lessons your students will be fully confident in designing models for 3D printing.
All the CAD modelling packages that lessons are based around are cloud based so students can save their work completed in class and continue at home, extending learning beyond the classroom.
Students will be taught the theory behind 3D printing, why it’s used, how it compares with other manufacturing methods, the materials used in 3D printing and how to design models for 3D printing. Each lesson comes with pre-planned lesson activities and homework tasks complete with answer sheets allowing for self and peer assessment activities throughout the lessons.
All the lessons are mapped against the UK National Curriculum and KS4 subject content, Australian Design and Technologies subject content and USA Next Generation Science and common core maths standards so it is clear what educational standards each lesson covers.
In total there are 18 standalone lessons and each lesson pack comes with a lifetime site license.
